The Canada Agriculture Museum cares about the safety and security of its visitors in light of the Human H1N1 Influenza.
H1N1 flu can be passed from animals to humans through close direct contact. Fortunately, the Museum’s pigs do not have H1N1 flu, and in any case are kept far enough away from visitors to prevent direct contact.
To minimize the transmission of the flu from human to human, the Public Health Agency of Canada advises people to:
Wash their hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, or use hand sanitizer
Cough and sneeze in their arm or sleeve
Get their annual flu shot
Keep doing what they normally do, but to stay home if sick
The Canada Agriculture Museum remains open and asks visitors to wash their hands frequently using the handwashing facilities located in all barns and buildings.
