Happy Mother’s Day at the Canada Agriculture Museum

OTTAWA, May 1, 2009
For immediate release

Mothers, grandmothers and the whole family can join in special activities at the Canada Agriculture Museum to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10th.

Visitors will learn how farm women contribute to a successful family farm and how it’s the farm’s female animals that work year round to produce many of the foods on which we depend. Free admission for all mothers.

To celebrate Mother’s Day at the Canada Agriculture Museum, children and adults of all ages can participate in a variety of demonstrations such as a “special moms” scavenger hunt, ice cream making and oatmeal cookie making as well as the afternoon milking. Also, children can make a special craft as a gift for Mom.
