Baskets with Panache! June 17 The Canada Agriculture Museum hosts, for the third year in a row, its exciting fundraising event called Baskets with Panache! starting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Live and silent auctions of unique baskets created by community leaders, gourmet food, live music, and a country décor all combine to raise funds to enable children with financial challenges to attend the Museum’s school programs and summer day camps. Tickets are $60 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets and event information are available at 613-993-7457.
Father’s Day June 21 Bring Dad and Granddad to the Museum to meet the farm dads so they can learn why these animals are special not just on Father’s Day but all year round. Also, fathers and grandfathers will enjoy the Museum’s Tractors exhibition and see how these essential farm machines have changed over the years. As well, the fourth annual Members' Photo Contest will be launched on Father’s Day. Museum Members are invited to explore the Canada Agriculture Museum through the lens of a camera. On Father's Day all fathers enter free of charge.
