Exhibtions

Bee

Taking Care of Beesness

There’s a new buzz at the Canada Agriculture Museum. Discover the essential role bees play in the pollination of many Canadian food crops such as blueberries and apples, as well as to the production of honey and many other by-products, while you explore the role and the tools of the beekeeper. Check out the Museum’s live hive arriving in May and try to find the queen among all the workers and drones.

Tractors
Follow the 100-year-old story of the farm tractor, from unfamiliar oddity to commonplace tool on the Canadian farm. Walk among ten tractors from the Museum’s collection to see how they have become safer, more powerful, more versatile, and more comfortable. Feel the difference between riding on the steel wheels of old and today’s rubber tires. Learn how tractors contribute to the feeding and clothing of Canadians.

The exhibitions Tractors and Taking Care of Beesness are presented in the loft of the Dairy Barn from February 26 to November 30, 2011.
